Designated as part of Florida's statewide system of Greenways and Trails, the 5-mile Blountstown Greenway Bike Trail is constructed along the historic Marianna & Blountstown (M&B) Railroad which operated from 1909 to 1972. The Florida Trail shares the Blue Blazed portion of this Trail. Trail visitors may enjoy the playground and fitness stations located along the Trail. Blountstown is designated as a Main Street Community and as a Florida Trail Gateway Community.
Plan to stay overnight at the campground located at Sam Atkins Park/Panhandle Pioneer Settlement then kayak the Apalachicola River Paddling Trails System. Contact the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce at (850) 674-4519.
Trailheads are located at: Neal Landing Road, south of Highway 20 at the Apalachicola River; Silas Green Road, north of Highway 20 at the Sam Atkins Park and Panhandle Pioneer Settlement; and off of County Road 69, north of Highway 20 in downtown Blountstown.
