Lake Minneola Scenic Trail and South Lake Trail

Add to plan Remove from plan

Though constructed as separate trails, one is a direct continuation of the other along the same lake. This is a very pleasant, mostly urban trail, with higher hills than any other rail trail in Florida. Cyclists can experience fast speeds on the downhills. The lake views on the western side are spectacular during sunsets and very pretty the rest of the time. Though subject to high winds during storms, this is a nice trail for all levels of riders and it is particularly attractive for long rides since it connects to the 19-mile West Orange Trail to the east and the General James A. Van Fleet State Trail to the west. This is also one of the few trails with streetlights on most portions.
