Okeeheelee Nature Center's exhibits focus on three ecosystems found in Palm Beach County: Freshwater, Coastal and the upland Pine Flatwoods. Enjoy hands-on exhibits and live animals while exploring these unique habitats indoors, and then step outside to experience the upland and freshwater habitats first-hand.

A variety of live educational animals reside inside the nature center, including a screech owl, baby alligators, snakes, and turtles. Explore the woods and wetlands on our paved or shell-rock trails, totaling over 2 miles. Numerous benches are available to find the perfect spot to observe and appreciate the natural world and wildlife. Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy nature-based puppets, puzzles, books, and coloring pages in the Discovery Zone.
