The Perez Art Museum Miami not only presents one of the most significant collections of international modern and contemporary art, the building itself is a work of art. Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architects Herzog & de Meuron, PAMM provides an educational and civic forum for the County's residents and visitors alike.
Rising alongside Biscayne Bay, Miami's 200,000-square-foot flagship art museum sits on an elevated platform under a perforated canopy draped with lush hanging gardens. The close to 3,000 pieces in its permanent exhibits represent the American Latino experience, the African diaspora, and Latin America, along with an extensive Caribbean collection reflecting works spanning nearly a century of creativity.
In addition to exploring the galleries, visitors can enjoy waterfront dining at Verde restaurant; shop a unique selection of art books, furnishings and handmade items at the museum's gift store; and take in the spectacular views of Biscayne Bay.
For visitors with disabilities:
- The entire facility is wheelchair-accessible and service dogs are welcome.
- Free assistive listening devices are available and PAMM's downloadable app provides audio tours of the various exhibits.
- The online "digital museum" offers comprehensive access to the museum's artwork.
- For sign language interpretation, Computer Assisted Real-Time Translation (CART) or special printed material, contact the museum at least two weeks in advance.
