Over 50 retail/restaurants to cater toi your needs.  All in a very casual setting.  Events:  Monthly Gallery walks from 5 till 8pm every Third Thursday.  Thursdays are special too.  Usually something different going on each Thursday.  Every Saturday morning from 8 till noon May through September and 1 pm from October through April is our very special Farmers Market right downtown on the corners of Taylor Street and West Olympia Aveniue across froim our Historic Coutthouse.   Over 20 Vendors with live festive music.  Every first Friday of October means "OKTOBERFEST".  5  pm until we runn out of Brats and Beer.  Authentic German Music.  Same location as the Market.  Holly Days all over downtown first weekend in December and lighting of our Christmas Tree in Hector House Park.  Soon to come our "Artisans' Atelier".  15 artists working and selling their art.  This is to complement the many Art Galleries we have in Punta Gorda and will be locate din our new Herald Court Centre Parking Facility.  February brings "Plein Air" which features artist painting all over downtown on the Second Saturday of February from 8 am till 2pm.  The awards and banquet will be held on Sunday at the Atelier.  Wine and a special gourmet Buffet will be included.  Stay tuned for a price on this Gala Event.  Punta Gorda "Its happening on the Harbor"!!
